George P Global Moderator Posted January 31, 2013 Global Moderator Share Posted January 31, 2013 Exactly why MS is probably farther along with Blue then what anyone is aware of except some guys in white coats hidden in a closet in Redmond. The next release will come sooner then later. The rumors are for summer, I could see it coming in July.

Colin McGregor
unbelievable 2013 and still xp is flying. maybe blue will clip its wings. fingers crossed for a good os. Vista was a good OS (except the damage NVidia did to it), Win 7 was good. Windows 8 is amazing. If you still think nothing has topped xp then Blue wont do anything for you. Its not like its gonna add a start button. Its archaic and unnecessary, and GONE. Move on or stay with xp. http://channel9.msdn.com/Forums/Coffeehouse/Microsoft-still-in-denial-phase-over-W8-possible-relaunch-in-February[/CODE] There might be somebody at the Coffeehouse forum to puke out some info. Active.
Windows 8 is amazing. If you still think nothing has topped xp then Blue wont do anything for you. That's not really the reason XP is still so popular though. XP may not be amazing by today's standards (of course, neither is Windows 8, imo), but it more than suffices for certain areas of application. It's "good enough". Active.
never said it wasn't good enough. Not even close to that. No, you didn't. And I didn't say you did. What you did imply though was that (at least some of) the people still using XP do so because they think nothing has topped that OS. And I simply find it hard to imagine that there are such people out there, including the very ones still using XP. Of course, if I'm wrong and there are, then you're probably right and no update to Windows 8 would change their opinion about that.

johnporter29
Is "Windows Blue" an update for Windows Phone 8 rather than Windows 8: http://www.wpcentral.com/microsoft-update-code-named-blue-windows-phone I refer to the final couple of lines of the the post linked to above. George P Global Moderator Posted February 8, 2013 Global Moderator Share Posted February 8, 2013 Blue seems like a update for everything not just windows 8. We're talking Windows 8, RT, Phone, Server, Azure as well probably. Not to mention updates to other services like Skype, SkyDrive, outlook and the built in apps finally. Time this with a new Xbox system and we're talking an even bigger year for MS than 2012 was. Dot Matrix 1 Share
