yayaba
I'm thinking of picking up some extra GC controllers (for the impending Mario Party 5 and Mario Kart) but the official ones are a bit steep ($25 each... ugh). Are the third party controllers any good? Is there anywhere I can get them for cheap? The ones I see one ebay are pretty much all 3rd party ones but the official ones still run into the $20's. paulladle
I would say get the official ones as they're (Nintendo) the only console controllers I've never had a problem with. My N64 controllers still work after six years of hard use!
.....
Trust me, go with the official ones, they're much better quality, and will last longer.

Muffzilla
The only third party controller I have is the pelican one because that's the only cordless one that still has the vibration force feedback.
Boffa Jones Veteran Posted November 5, 2003 Veteran Share Posted November 5, 2003 I have never seen/used a third party that i liked the feel or look of. I like hte way that the micro con looks, especially the xbox one, but i have never used it.

yayaba
Well, I won an official GC controller by Nintendo off ebay for $12 + $5 shipping... not bad. Wavebirds are $$$... like $30-35 each... ugh.
Danrarbc
You can pick up the official controllers for $20 at Target and Walmart all the time. And Wavebirds are $30. At least both prices are better than launch prices. $35 used to be the price for the wired controllers, and Wavebird didn't exist.

Good thing you dont own an xbox. Their wired contollers go for 30 each. They dont have an official wireless and the logitech wireless is 70. Rediculous, none of their games even warrents that. :x
kryptonik
I would stick with the official ones just because they are official. What is wrong with them anyways? They are perfect if you ask me. :D
