yanman
Hi all, ok, after my exams finish and everything, during the holidays a lot of a friends are going to come over every now and then and some will often crash. I plan to watch a few movies, not ones out in cinemas, and I need some suggestions on what movies i should grab. I prefer comedy and action movies (and some movies that mess with your head like some Nicolas Case and Brad Pitt movies) So far i've got: 2 Fast 2 Furious Bad Boys Deuce Bigalow Fight Club Freddy Got Fingered Friday Next Friday Happy Gilmore How High I Spy Joe Dirt Meet The Parents Menace II Society National Security Old School Road Trip Romeo Must Die (along with a few other Jet Li movies) The Hot Chick The Water Boy Tomcats Training Day Undercover Brother Zoolander (and no, i'm not gonna watch it all during the holidays, i do have a life you know... lol.. i've seen most of them anyway) can anyone suggest to me anymore good comedy / action movies? Thanks in advance

ze-newie
Snatch Lock Stock n Two Smoking Barrels Fight Club Trainspotting Old School (never gets old) Awesome movies :D Requiem for a Dream was pretty messed up. Worth watching (once) though. Memento is one of my favourite movies, very original story. Whatever you do don't rent Mullholland Drive. I know it's an artsy movie etc. but I just didn't get it. It's a mindf*ck :(

It's a mindf*ck :( Mulholland drive is one of my favorite movies. Damn that film is clever. Also check out Donnie Darko, 2001: A Space Oddysey, and 2010: Oddysey 2. Definitely watch Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 (Dead by Dawn) and the Medieval Dead (Evil Dead 3: Army of Darkness). Some of the best cheesey comedy horror ever made. Sam Raimi is a genius. Also look up Run Lola Run, Cube, and One Flew over the Cuckoo's nest. And Leon is one of the greatest action movies ever made, IMHO.

poind
Monty Python films/ Flying Circus (Not film but its the best comedy) Always good for sharing with friends, especially if no one's seen them, though their full-length features are probably best for an introduction. Excellent rec. Addendum: You might really like stuff like Thirteenth Floor and Equilibrium if you'd be into above-average sci-fi stuff.
