How could this be a Post count+1 thread anyway thats what the story game is for and its with the intent of me actually replying which is the whole point of a forum! So if you understand the Matrix totally this is not the thread for you and obviously if you dont like it.
Shifty
i was sorely disappointed w/ this movie and im willing to be that you dont know how its was "supposed" to end there will be or atleast should be a 4th movie!! first of all the Architect... he mentions that this was the 6th matrix and they distroyed Zion before... this is because the "real world" is a matrix outside of the matrix. why do you thing Smith was able to exit the matrix? and why can neo do matrix type stuff out side the matrix?? how can Neo "see" the code for the real world??? its because the so called "real world" is a fake!! its the imagination of the machines that was programmed by the humans why they bombed them w/ nukes!! the machines never won the war!!!!!! the humans made the machines think it won the war!! [logic] for logic sake, why in the frickin world would the machines use humans as batteries!! the laws of thermo-dynamics say you can, but is it feasable??? NO!!! it would take the likes of over 200 people's heat to light a 40w light bulb. why didnt the machines use nuclear or natural enegy sources?? so what if the sky is blackened!! clean it up!! why couldnt the robots use cows or elephants as a heat source? they are easier to maintain, generate MORE heat and you dont have to invent some stupid a$$ VR world for them to frolic in!! its BS to use humans. you must be thinking... they're not just machines they have a will, AI!! thats why you have to then assume that if a machine has AI then it is as bad as a human, it would then be at a disadvantage, it would have all of our flaws. so w/ that in mind, we must now think of the robots, machines, whatever as a human. again, why use humans as a source of power?? think of other humans in the same situation, you have a war, you kill all of your enemy, not turn them into slaves, that, in history has always ended up bad. look at Hitler, he wanted to kill off all who wasnt in his specification. why didnt the robots do that? [ZION or wait... 01] who ever watched the ANIMATRIX knows that the renessance was writen and directed by the (Retarded) wachoski bro's. in it dont you see the striking similarities between 01 - the machine sanctuary and Zion- the human sanctuary???? hell, their names are almost the same, Zion = Z or Zero + ion or 1!!! they are the same frickin place!!! [this is it, the end] the way this story should have ended is w/ Neo understanding that he is in a world like this: REAL WORLD(humans rule)->"Real World"(robots think they rule, neo lives here now)<->"Matrix"(where battery humans live) note the way i made the arrows... you can traverse the "real world" and the matrix but, not from the fantasy "real world" to the actual real world. its all about plato's cave: Educate Yourself!! Matrix and Plato's Cave FROM the Official Matrix Site do you not see the striking similarities?? the matrix is supposed to be Plato's Cave in a Sci-Fi twist. the 3rd movies shouldnt be the last. if it is I give NO respect to the Wachoski brothers as writers. and all who claim them to be brilliant writers are as reliable as a mentally retarded monkey driving a bus full of kids to school!! if the wachoskis are as good as i thought they were then they got the last laugh. i think the point of the matrix is to show that we as humans live in superficial life/society. we live the lies, we love it and we love to be ignorant. "Ignorance is bliss and the Blissful dont revolt," Fat Mike from NOFX if the robots "think" they won then, why should they bother to revolt to actually win? the AI is ignorant, it doesnt know it lost, it doesnt care, it wouldnt strike it to ask itself "did i really win?" of course not!! they live in a fantasy, it wouldnt want to judge itself. it loves where it is now and it will stay. im willing to bet after the humans won that they crammed the AI in to an emachine to live out its pitiful existance and have humans laugh at it!! :woot: if you believe this movie was great and you "understand" it, then you'd be better off watching flys eat my poo. satisfied w/ the movie now?? AdmiralRooster
FANTASTIC the machines never won the war!!!!!!the humans made the machines think it won the war!! I love the way you think. I have been saying this to people all the time. This is how it should be, and you just put it into words they understand.for logic sake, why in the frickin world would the machines use humans as batteries!! Good point Never thought of that AND FINALLY I agree with you, they are retarded. And if they make another film now, that are even more so, after saying this was the last BRAVO :woot: :D

redrope
I just got back from the movie. I had a great time. I thought the movie was great, but it was so confusing, more so than the first two, at least for me. The dialogue in the beginning was very confusing and it was really hard to follow, and the whole thing with Sati (the little girl. Dont know if thats the spelling) was really confusing. I didnt really understand her point unless she was just there for the ride or something. Anyway, so Neo is actually dead, but when she said that we might see him again she meant that we might see a new form of the One? Also, I thought it was interesting how they portrayed Neo as Christ. What all with how he was lying as if he was on a cross at the end when he died. I dunno if that was intended but it struck me. Anyway, great movie. Though they are programs and cannot truly *love*, 'it is the connection the word implies' reveals that Rama-Kandra and his wife understand love. Sati was exchanged for the Old Oracle's Shell (in ETM), and..being around the age of 7 or 8, she knows she's in a system, and understands what she can do in it (b/c of love) she can change everyone's lives. Shifty
"for logic sake, why in the frickin world would the machines use humans as batteries!!"Inifinite multiplying supply of thermal, kinetic, energy. Watch animatrix. so if its infinite supply of energy, why use HUMANS???? is the AI so spiteful to use humans?? i think you're missing the main point of my statement. by thermo dynamic laws, cows are a better source of heat energy and their consumption of "food" is simple and easily replicated as apposed to humans where our diet can be very different. look at vegans, they have the energy of a primarly meat eating people, they have a lower heart rate and this lower heat output. again, why not better sources of fuel?? nuclear energy is almost infinite. w/ little effort the machines could make, run and maintain a nuclear plant. it would generate over 1000 times the energy than 5 million people in stasus so to have the equivelent you would need 5 billion people to equal 1 nuclear plant. 5 billion!!!! thats an assload of people and you would have to maintain them ALL!!! imagine the cost of energy to do that. not very efficient at all!! its a waste if i were the machines, i would exterminate the vast majority of the humans, build about 10 nuke plants, build up stock piles of weapons and wipe the humans off the face of the planet. after that i would make the effort to clean up the sky by the means of setting off incinderary bombs to vaporize the clouds and get the sun lite to have more energy. coal, fossile fuel, hydo, wind powered options would be ideal too!! matt74441
I just got back from seeing Revolutions, and it kicked ass. My only disappointment was the ending (or lack of an ending) and the fact that my two favourite characters, the Twins, never made an appearance. My only hope is that there isn't a fourth one. By the way, most of the audience cried when you know who died, but I managed to hold it in. :(

Are you talking about the ghost twins in Matrix Reloaded? Well, they died "again" in the car explosion remember?

Brad Pitt
I havent seen revolutions but reloaded blew balls... So Im NOT going to see it. Honestly, The first Matrix made the philosophy subtle and thought provoking, But reloaded FED (Thats right) FED you the whole goddamn philosophy through conversation. It was soooo Boring, took the mystery out, Drama, suspsense, etc. I mean, this philosophy isn't even new, It's like Plato on Speed... wait wati, No I take that back, Descarte on Ectasy... All it is, is their theories with bullets...
Avada
By the way, most of the audience cried when you know who died, but I managed to hold it in. :( Yeah, I didn't cry either. I actually wanted to shoot myself. I hate that sappy crap..esp in the middle of a movie thats mostly violence and guns and stuff. ;)
kioria
first of all the Architect... he mentions that this was the 6th matrix and they distroyed Zion before...this is because the "real world" is a matrix outside of the matrix. why do you thing Smith was able to exit the matrix? and why can neo do matrix type stuff out side the matrix?? how can Neo "see" the code for the real world??? nonono you are wrong here, he did not specifically say that there were layers of matrix. however he did say that destroying the "real" world outside the matrix is "sufficiently good at it". and mind you, the real world had no idea of what kind of force the machines had and if it wasn't for neo, there is NO way that real world could survive. Agent Smith. one hell of a program. he exited the matrix through the phone line into that guy's mind - beyond the control. i really like how they ended it though. through the flaws of the machines world and the combination of human's ability to persist made both of them sacrifice but the "real" world as it is, is saved. Neo's mind has been tweaked - or atleast to a degree. He could communicate within the matrix with the programs, thus his ability to communicate in the machines world is some what radically different to other real human beings. and remember he could intentionally, like agent smith, alter the variables in the matrix world. also, the architect's room in reloaded. a place where a mind has no belongings to - the Mobil Avenue. I think this place has something to do with the mind connection but at this stage i am unable to figure it out.
Mark Otto
in regards to shifty asking why use humans, did you even see the fields of human harvesting? there have to have been like a septillion humans there (thats like 24 zeros or something). Lot's of people. I wanna see this movie just because they left i hanging in Reloaded. A forth would be interesting...but I don't think it would fly.
