Arpit
Just came back from the Revolutions, and I'd have to say...'meh'.. I don't understand how come Neo was able to stop the machines though in the end of Revolutions, even though he was in the real world? Can someone explain that? MegaManXcalibur
When he was talking to the head machine he said he could stop Smith. The head machine asked him what he wanted, and Neo said peace. So in other words if Neo won against Smith the machines would declare peace with the humans. The machines kept their word. frod
heh neo has transcended the need for a physical link to the matrix as illustrated in the start of the third film. his brain was still "jacked in" to the matrix even though he was in the outside world. i only assume he could exploit this bridge and destroy some of the machines. PKHelloNasty
QUESTIONS: 1.) One third of the movie was trying to get the ship back to the base to use the EMP blast it was equiped with. So... From movie 2, what ever happened to the other 12 ships that initially stayed back. 2.) If the machines needed humans as a power source, why sould they suddenly declair peace? And.. According to movie 1, they said "If you die in the Matrix, you are dead in real life, you can't live without your mind bla bla bla". So.. Smith took over all the humans in the Matrix, Neo killed all the Smiths, arn't all the humans dead, therefor giving the machines no power? 3.) Can someone please tell me again, Why does the main ship not work above the clouds?
mattrobs
in reloaded, they said that someone triggered an EMP blast too soon and it took down most ships, so when the machines came to attack it was like a slaughter, not a fight. I haven't watched Matrix 3, but my guess that it was Bane, who is really Smith in disguise.
MegaManXcalibur
1.) One third of the movie was trying to get the ship back to the base to use the EMP blast it was equiped with. So... From movie 2, what ever happened to the other 12 ships that initially stayed back. That's been answered, pre-fired EMP pulse took most of them out. 2.) Smith took over all the humans in the Matrix, Neo killed all the Smiths, arn't all the humans dead, therefor giving the machines no power? Did you see the fields? They have plenty of new people to plug in. And i'm sure they have enough stored power to last them a while. 3.) Can someone please tell me again, Why does the main ship not work above the clouds? Simply it was a manual transmission and Trinity can't drive a stick very well. Didn't you see they had to start it again when they were coming down? KayMan2K
3.) Can someone please tell me again, Why does the main ship not work above the clouds? Might have something to do with the levitation technology. It seems that flight is acheived by "bouncing" off surfaces - which is no problem in tunnels and on the ground. Perhaps, the clouds were beyond the capability of the ship to create a large enough field. Also, while escaping on the Logos - Morpheus mentioned that the 'field' was to large.. so this seems to be a logical way they work.
Arpit
3.) Can someone please tell me again, Why does the main ship not work above the clouds? That I know...or at least I think I know...it's because it's a hovercraft...(I think that was said in the first movie)...so, it can float, but it needs some sort of physical ground to levitate upon...so when they went over the clouds, it was like a 'jump' but in order to keep going forward, they still needed to be closer to the ground... What I meant with the Neo being able to stop the machine was, as in, destroy those sentinels because he felt them...In the beginning he could do that because he was trapped..but what about later? He was completely in the real world, mind and body...:o
nomis_nehc
I am thinking about that scene too... I think it's suppose to illustrate something... notice only Trinity could see the beautiful scene and not Neo. Me thinks...

Has nothing to do with the humans in the matrix. All of them where taken over by Smith at the time anyways. (Or least a large percentage). When Smith was destroyed, the machine/human alliance continued (and continues), and the humans in the Matrix where give the choice of staying, or leaving it. 3.) Watch one of the Animatrix's. The humans blackened out the sky, and I guess created an emp cloud to prevent the machines from ever even trying to reach sunlight. The emp disabled the ship, thats why it doesnt work above clouds. Phil Gates
3.) Can someone please tell me again, Why does the main ship not work above the clouds? its a form of emp above the clouds. thats why the machines couldn't follow.
Mobidem
I am thinking about that scene too... I think it's suppose to illustrate something... notice only Trinity could see the beautiful scene and not Neo. Me thinks... Yes it is suppose to signify the hope and glory that the machines had supposedly destroyed. She had never seen the sky before, only inside the matrix. So for her to see that it was that beautiful, and that the world had not been scored and burned to the point of not being able to be lived in anymore. It also could just be that they were going to kill her, and that was a last treat for her mind to see.
Mobidem
its a form of emp above the clouds. thats why the machines couldn't follow. The cloud was created by the humans to try and kill the machines in the first place. The clouds have been electroically charged so that the machines could not go above them. If they could then they would be using the power of the sun (next scene) and would not need the human etc. If you see the ship actually goes dead, and will not restart until AFTER they pass back through the clouds. Then they had to wait for the static charge to wear off, and the chips to reset themselves before they could try and restart it.
BxBoy
question about the ending.. was the beautiful world the matrix world? or was it a rebuild of Zion?
Mobidem
question about the ending.. was the beautiful world the matrix world? or was it a rebuild of Zion? Yes because the Architect, Oracle and the little girl could not live outside the matrix. If you hear the oracle she says "did you make that" and the little girl says "yeah for Neo"...... mattrobs
i know this seems a bit off topic, but in matrix 2, the nevachanezzar had to leave Zion so they could enter the matrix. why? is it because of the big gate, that prevents the signal?
