Surface screen disaster

Apparently the Surface is a right pain in the backside to repair, so be careful!

A bit more help from the great folk of Neowin needed!

I have my Surface dismantled and new screen ready, but can anybody suggest what sort of adhesive should get to stick the new screen back on. I have to say the whole dismantling process although quite tricky in places wasn't too bad, (getting through the glue was pretty much the trickiest part.)

Well done mate, good job so far. (Y)

I'd be tempted to use Velcro. You know, just in case you break it again. lol

You could do worse than giving these guys a call... http://www.apetape.co.uk

Thank you Sir for that link, I shall give them a ring in the morning! Now I know the screen isn't as tough as I initially assumed, (lol) I am going to try to be a little more careful...

Well, it looks like I managed to fix my Surface...! Such a relief. All in all not amazingly bad, though I wouldn't want to have to do it again, but obviously will if such terrible things happen again.

I even have one single torx screw left as a souvenir from my adventure inside the Surface!
