DirtyLarry Veteran Posted November 7, 2003 Veteran Share Posted November 7, 2003 Okay, after seeing revolutions last night and reading like 1000 posts of peoples beliefs, the movie may indeed be brilliant for this simple fact... The Matrix trilogy, much like life, may never be explained in full detail and it is a matter of one's perceptions. I have read so many different opinions on theories, some based on religions such as Christianity and Hinduism, others based on scientific theories, others based on love theories, choice theories, man being to dependent on machines, etc. etc. This is why it is brilliant. Isn?t this life for each and every one of us? Does not each and every person (most often along with groups of other people) come to decide what life means to them and make a choice to believe a certain theory to make it through life one way or another, good or bad? The matrix trilogy is an analogy of the most classic conflict in life for human beings.... why are we hear and what does life mean? Hopefully we did not need a movie to know life is what you make it and what you choose and what you believe it to be... but IMO its damn brilliant that a modern sci fi trilogy and other multimedia was made out of this concept in this day and age of mindless media.. so yes this is my theory, and you are entitled and will believe your own theory, and this is exactly my point and why i believe it is brilliant... Toxicfume Veteran Posted November 7, 2003 Veteran Share Posted November 7, 2003 I agree on how it reflects the way we live, how we look at life and do things and how it reflects some of the religions. It sure does make you think what the current life and the place we live in is all about
Chicane-UK Veteran Posted November 7, 2003 Veteran Share Posted November 7, 2003 No it was a very good point. I had a discussion with a few guys in the office today, and I think we all decided on that it came down to (amongst other things) balance, and every opposite having an equal, etc. But we did talk about its various religious meanings, other opinions on it, etc - yeah, I know its just a movie and I am not normally the philisophical type, but this trilogy just does that to you :)
