Jayzee
I've just recently purchased 3 Cisco 8-port switches (SG300-10P, article number: SRW2008P-K9-EU) that are going to replace Netgar GS108T switches in my gigabit network (all cabling is CAT6 shielded). Since Cisco switches are PoE enabled and my firewall is not (Zywall USG-200) I will probably be adding a PoE injector between firewall and first switch (the switches are daisy chained: Firewall -> Switch #1 -> Switch #2 -> Switch #3). Does anyone have a suggestion for a *good* PoE injector? Requirements are that it should be capable of powering 3 PoE switches that are daisy chained and allow full speed in a gigabit network (no speed impact) ? _BeanZ_
Unfortunately, PoE doesn't work like that. PoE is generally used to provide power from the switches rather than to them. PoE injectors would be used if you had PoE capable devices, but not a PoE switch. goretsky 1 Share
Jayzee
Thank you for explanation. I was hoping I could use PoE to power switches and therefore skip power adapters.
