Actor Wesley Snipes released from prison

Actor Wesley Snipes has been released from a federal prison where he was serving a three-year sentence after being convicted on tax charges in February 2010.

The release to a supervised residential location in New York occurred Tuesday, the Federal Bureau of Prisons told CNN.

Snipes, 50, who starred in the "Blade" action movies and "White Men Can't Jump," had been serving time at a federal prison in Pennsylvania. A jury convicted him of willfully failing to file tax returns for 1999, 2000 and 2001. Snipes was acquitted of felony tax fraud and conspiracy charges.

In June 2011, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal of his sentence, which he had argued was too harsh for a misdemeanor conviction.

I kinda agree with him. People like him who are not a threat to society should not be in prison. He should pay for his crimes but there are many ways for him to do that.

Rumours are his next role is Expendables 3

As someone said I'd like to see Blade 4, but look at him now....his age is really starting to show so I don't think Blade 4 will be possible. He should have went on ahead and did Major League 2 instead of backing out and causing another actor to fill in which helped kill it imo.

I think it was the amount of money involved and we're talking 3 years. Tax evasion is how the US gets a lot of organized crime so it's taken very seriously.

He's such an ******* to work for and with i'm suprised he will get any work.

He's fine to work with, just as long as you treat him like a king and keep him fresh with an endless supply of Marihuana.
