Killa-b
the new AMG's are using the Maybach V12 w/ Twin turbos to put out around 603hp w/ 1000nm of tq (it was detuned from 1015nm). these cars are limited as someone stated due to a German legal requirment that no car leave the factory with a top speed over 155mph. IT IS NOT a rev limiter. as a side note the TwinT v12's only rev to about 5,500rpm. its just the ECU software that restricts the car to 155mph. without the restriction the car can and WILL do ~ 203-207mph (333km/h) aerodynamics are NOT a problem at all, all of these cars have underbodys that create suction between the car and the ground, so as you go faster the car sucks to the ground even more. air vents @ the front of an F40 are NOT there for aerodynamics, they are there to (cool engine, or cool brakes) even the M5 (~6 year old car) will almost break 200 (190-193mph) Brabus just released their new line of cars (ev12, sv12, etc) which use the same engine, but are again tunted to produce ~ 630hp. bored from 5.5-6.3 "the new EV12 is even faster(the the old one). 0-100 km/h in 4,2 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 12,9 seconds and a top speed of 340 km/h, electronically limited that is. It would be even faster if the tires could handle higher speeds." (into 350 is thought possible) so there is NO doubt that the CL can do 320km/h and into the low 330's. and as a side note, anycar that breaks 200+mph is in a VERY elite list of perhaps 20 cars in the world. cars like the F40 and GT-40 McF1, etc are UBER-elite-exotics who's total production numbers is under 5,000 (for all of them) so yes this car is VERY fast. and the BIG point is this: the time from 0-200km/h is the same speed that most average cars take to get to 100. NUFF SAID!!! Where do you think I did it. On the freeway? No. That would be suicide. There are places for racing around here. Like race tracks as you said. Thats the only place I race my car.
