Quantum Leap (Last Episode)

Recommended Posts

Why doesn't Netflix have the last episode of Quantum Leap?

It has the penultimate episode and at the end, Sam leaps into his own body but that's it!

Why Netflix, why tempts us like this?

Anyone got any ideas?

I don't use netflix so can't give you any insight other than to say what you probably know and thats, Quantum leap rocks! Last episode is somewhat sombre but fitting for a finale. I found it good anyway as I haven't seen it in many years and can still recall it quite well.

The only thing I remember from the final is that it wasn't really final, heh.

From what I gathered from watching the final episode (Since a TV station here showed it like 4 times within a month) is that he didn't leap into his "own body", he came to the understanding that he was in control of the leaps, and he could leap without displacing somebody else.

Also leapers are dead people, he died during the test, and Bruce McGill was the personification of causality

Yeah the fact he met someone else who could leap like him changed things.

Discussion on the series aside....it could be that netflix doesn't have rights to show the last episode. I know this happens to amazon VOD all the time. I am currently watching stargate atlantis and there are 2 episodes in season 2 that amazon doesn't have rights to show. Hulu is the same way.

Dean Stockwell as Al, fantastic actor!

What is the episode with the other Leaper?

In a trilogy of episodes, "The Evil Leaper", Sam meets a similar time traveler named Alia (Renee Coleman) who is forced to jump between people by some outside force - but in order to counter Sam's own efforts, making things worse off than they are.

Final Episode spoiler:

The final episode, "Mirror Image", finds Sam leaping into what appears to be himself, but on the date of his birth. A mysterious barkeep (Bruce McGill, who also appeared in the pilot but in a different role) appears to know much more about Sam's leaping, but in the end convinces Sam that he is in control of his own leaping, and that it is his choice to return home or not. In the episode's epilogue, Sam is shown to have returned to visit Beth, appearing to her as himself, assuring her that Al is safe and will return to her; this results in Al and Beth remaining happily married in the future, while Sam never returns to his home time (ever since this episode was broadcast, there have been rumors Sam will finally leap home in the context of a QL movie, TV special, or even a Broadway musical).

I used to love Quantum Leap, had forgotten about it until seeing this thread

Sam and his little gadget, ziggy was it?

Yepp, Ziggy. "Ziggy's got zip, zilch, zero."

Fantastic shows as I recall

I hope with each leap that it will be my leap home.

Maybe there was something racey in the last episode? Like for instance how you can't find the "Super Best Friends" episode of Southpark except through torrents because it has a depiction Muhammad. Or they could have had a special guest actor that required specific licensing from another studio. I wonder if the DVDs contain the last episode because if they did but Netflix didn't then that would be weird.

I really miss those 80/90's tv drama theme songs. They were all so classic. British TV still has some good opening tunes (Skins, Dr. Who). Rare in US TV these days.

I got the see the last ep now, after almost 20 year.

I found the ep to be very say. I also re-watched the ep where he switches places with Al and gets to see his wife again. So sad too.
