+Tyranade Subscriber² Posted April 11, 2013 Subscriber² Share Posted April 11, 2013 Okay so I don't know where this thread should go so I am posting it here. Anywho after putting on one of my T-Shirts my back became all prickly and tingly all over my back and It's happened a couple of times now while wearing different T-Shirts and I was wondering if it could be static shock or something else. Yeah it's probably a dumb question but yeah I was just wondering if I should get it looked at or just leave it and put it down to Static Shock. Thanks. Astra.Xtreme
Are you sure there isn't any fuzzy animals in your shirt when you put it on? But yeah, I'm assuming you're standing on carpet when this happens, in which case it is indeed static charge. If you touch a metal doorknob or something metallic to discharge your body, it probably won't happen.

That's the odd thing there is no Carpet in the house apart from the bedrooms and this happened in the Living Room which has a Laminated Wood flooring :/. Well it's stopped now which is good. Guess it was just static after all.
Astra.Xtreme
Well when you come out of the bedroom, your body probably gathered some static charge, and being on a wood floor wouldn't discharge you. You'll stay charged until you touch something that's conductive and/or the charge wears off over a bit of time.

articuno1au
Tumble driers regularly induce static in shirts.. Pull you shirt off slowly and see if you can feel the hairs following the shirt >.<
