why do you need both a pager and a cellphone?

Pagers work in areas cell phones don't, and are safer to use in places like hospitals. They're still used a lot today.

Give it a year or so, Samsung will have an 8" Galaxy Polaris *phone*, which might as well have a slot for polaroid prints :rofl:

That JVC is a slight bit large. I did have a Sony handy cam back then that was pretty small though. I recall those annoying Motorola beepers. Although I was the mack when the Motorola message pager came out. The one where you had to call the operator to send a text message.

I also had the mitsubishi brick phone. The one with the nuclear powered backpack.. Seems like only yesterday car phones were phones that you could park next to with your car. :)

I hate using my phone as a music device. The battery is horrible. I use a mp3 player for music as it last much much longer. On that note though, this is true to a point. A separate video/ camera takes much much better photos than a phone. Beeper is obsolete and so is the pda.
