Silpheed2K
Okay So I'm broadcasting at 40Mhz in a fairly congested neighborhood. So if my router is set to channel 11, but is 40Mhz so it's 11+7. If something is taking up the airwaves on channel 7 does that slow down 11 as well or do channel 11 and 7 perform independently of each other? I was just wondering because I'd really like to get the best performance out of my network without using auto. I already used inSSIDer to find where to place my network. By the way, I mean broadcasting directly on channel 7. I'm assuming the nearby channels only provide some distortion. edit: Also, if anyone knows of any other handy network tools, please let me know. Thanks.
