digital vibe
I seen a few Gamecube isos floating around on the net. I was wondering has anyone tried playing them on a PC. I see there is a Gamecube emulator called Dolphin, but I haven't heard anything about it. I am just curious on how this Gamecube stuff is coming along. LdSe
The isos are appearing because there's a way to play copied games, i guess they cant be played in pc... cuz there isnt any 100% functional Emulator.
Redestium
It actually uses the PC as a host to simply play the file then through the BB adapter to the cube and special software you play it on a TV.

What kind of software do they use to play Gamecube games from the PC through the BBA?
Redestium
What kind of software do they use to play Gamecube games from the PC through the BBA? I'm not sure exactly I read about it on some gaming site that a friend gave me the link to a while ago.
oojaxxoo
it's through phantasy star online, and some type of loader to upload code to the cube. it then allows you to play the .gcm or .iso's streaming off your pc.

TheLegendOfMart
Theres a difference between modding and asking how to play copied games on a console that hasnt been officially "modded"

noir
1) your not the site admin/moderator Neither are you. Back on topic, Im guessing the Phantasy Star Online bug works in a similar way as the 007 Agent Under Fire one on Xbox (where it was possible to run unsigned code). noir
Point out where i said i was. You acted like one, mods decide what can be posted and what cannot, if there is/was something wrong with this topic they will/would close it.

eppisode3
Why would the GameCube be "officially modded" when you don't even need to mod it to use ISOs? It never will need a mod, plain and simple. As far as I can remember, the Freeloader was introduced so people could import games to the US and play them without any mod. As someone stated earlier, the Phantasy Star Online loader is needed to play "homegrown" ISOs streamed from a PC using the BroadBand Adapter, which also came with PSO. I haven't tried it and probably never will, but I've read some users have had good success running certain games and other games have corrupted graphics, shadows, sound, etc. If anyone has additional info/corrections to what I've said, feel free. Im not acting like anything, im just pointing out the rules since no-one else seems to have bothered doing, if you dont like it then i suggest you turn tails and head out of the thread.
