bayrider
has anyone successfully been able to display their cpu temp with coolmon? on mine, it seems as if its stuck at 32degrees which seems a little bit too cold if u ask me :) anyways it says something about a mdm.dll but i cant figure it out anyone know how to get it to correctly show the cpu temp? yg17
your motherboard has to have a sensor or something to get the temp
Marshalus Veteran Posted January 21, 2002 Veteran Share Posted January 21, 2002 Most new ones do. Mine has the sensor, I know because I can get a reading in my BIOS, but I have the same problem bayride has.
Marshalus Veteran Posted January 21, 2002 Veteran Share Posted January 21, 2002 BTW, this is better suited for the Software Asst section.
BroChaos Veteran Posted January 21, 2002 Veteran Share Posted January 21, 2002 make sure you are using the right temp reading. my mb has 3. one is chip temp, one is case temp, and then the other one doesn't do anything. so just make sure you have the right one selected. ciao! joe
bayrider
hmm, i tried all 3 and theyre all stuck on 32degrees anyways, how do i check the temp on my bios?
bigmoose
foor coolmon to show temp you need mother board monitor 5, there is a link somewhere in the program or on the website. however i have MBM5 and coolmon, but MBM shows the temp, and coolmon doesnt :( cant get tem to work together
kagaku
You not only need the mbm5.dll file, you also need Motherboard Monitor itself installed. You have to configure it to work with your sensors on your motherboard.. Check the MBM documentation.
bigmoose
configured it all, and it worked (MBM5) but it wouldnt integrate with coolmon
kingzagz
Did you make sure you had mbmstarter.dll in the same directory as coolmon? That should do it. It works perfectly on my system.
