CBS has resigned the stars of ?Criminal Minds,? and given the crime drama a ninth season.

Leads Thomas Gibson and Joe Mantegna and co-stars Shemar Moore, Kirsten Vangsness and A.J. Cook all signed new two-year deals.

Last week ABC Studios signed a new deal with showrunner Erica Messer. It had been reported that if Gibson and Mantegna were resigned, a ninth season was likely.

Fan favorite cast members Vangsness and Cook had reportedly turned down their previous offers. The two had been negotiating together as a stand against their lesser pay when compared to all of the men on the show, and were threatening to leave. However, the two have now reportedly got sizable, though not quite equal, pay increases. Moore was reported as being far away from a deal earlier this week, but has clearly since changed his mind.

Back in 2010 Cook was reduced to a guest star and costar Paget Brewster was cut altogether, though fan outcry resulted in Cook being reinstated on ?Criminal Minds.?

?Criminal Minds? follows a team of FBI profilers from the Behavioral Analysis Unit. The show focuses on the criminals, rather than the crime itself. ?Criminal Minds? is produced by The Mark Gordon Company in association with CBS Television Studios and ABC Studios.
