Any Everquest players out there?

Recommended Posts

I recently made a post about choosing between swg and ffxi, I bought both and didn't like either one, so I'm considering going back to Everquest, but I'm curious if there is still a great number of people that still play. Anyone have a clue as to how many people still play EQ, and if you play EQ, what server do you play on, thanks.

I played EQ from late '99 to early 2001. You probably feel the same way, but it ruined my life. Out of all thSe games out there, it is THE most addicting. Don't go back. Besides, $14/month on an old game??? Just wait for EQ2. If you need an online game, try out PlanetSide - great game and slightly less addicting. Just my opinion.

It didn't ruin my life, but I did play alot :)

When did they start charging 14.95, I thought it was 12.95

I thought about playing planetside, but it doesn't seem like a whole lot of people play it any more.

yeah i was hooked on EQ all through 2002, still tempted to pick it up and go back, but holding myself off till EQ2

also its an old game but has like 5 or so expansion packs that are (semi) needed to play the game better.

I was going to pick up the Evolution Pack (I think that's what it's called), that has all the expansions included.

I thought about waiting until EQ 2, but I'm not sure I'll have a decent enough machine to run it by the time it comes out.

i started in 2000, stopped playing maybe 4 months ago.

its a complete waste of time. it becomes a job, and when you get into high level situations its no longer any fun. it is filled with dramatic, addicted, and sometimes insane people. one day i was on a AA spree and i just realized that this game was a huge waste of time.

its up to 14 a month? hah...what a rip.. i bet sony is making a ****ing killing off this game.
