The original cable news network has been revamping its original programming of late, and its latest effort courtesy of Morgan Spurlock has finally locked in a premiere date.

"Inside Man," Spurlock's latest foray into a documentary series, will debut Sunday, June 23rd at 10PM EST. Hosted and produced by the Oscar nominated filmmaker, the series will examine a pressing social issue each week by delving into diverse areas of American life. Each week will examine a unique issue at the forefront of policy debates and public concerns, partnering with gun owners, migrant farm workers, union workers, educators and more in order to gain a more personal outlook on their respective issues.

Spurlock gained notoriety for his hard-hitting yet humorous look at the fast food industry and its relation to public health with the 2004 Academy Award nominated film "Super Size Me." After the success of that film, he went on to create and produce "30 Days" for FX in addition to a number of documentary films.

"Morgan, known for his inquisitiveness, humor and intimate portraits, is one of America?s most distinctive voices in documentary filmmaking. By telling the story from the inside, he and his Warrior Poets team bring enlightened perspectives and added depth to the stories that impact American lives," said Jeff Zucker, President, CNN Worldwide.

The premiere episode will feature Spurlock working at medical marijuana dispensary in California. Following each episode's air dates, they will be available to cable subscribers via on demand services as well as on CNN.com.
