A veteran multi-camera director is staying on one of the series whose pilot he directed.

James Burrows will stay on ?The Millers? from CBS/CBS TV Studios. This pilot season, Burrows helmed four. Three pilots, ?The Millers,? CBS? ?Friends With Better Lives? and NBC?s ?Sean Saves the World,? all went to series.

Burrows also directed the pilots of all three multi-camera comedies in CBS? new Thursday comedy block- ?The Millers,? ?The Big Bang Theory? and ?Two and A Half Men.?

Comedy ?The Millers? focuses on recently-divorced Jack (played by Will Arnett) whose parents (played by Beau Bridges and Margo Martindale) start having their own marital problems to complicate Jack?s life. It is created by Greg Garcia (?My Name is Earl?), and is probably the safest bet for Burrows.

?Friends with Better Lives? is written by Dana Klein. The show revolves around six 30- somethings who are friends and all think that each other have it better.

?Sean Saves the World? centers on Sean (played by Sean Hayes), whose 14-year-old daughter just moved in while he tries to deal with an erratic new boss.

Burrows has worked on ?Friends,? ?Will & Grace? and ?Cheers,? among other popular comedy series.
