Breaking Bad is coming to its end this fall, and already the anticipation for the show's final eight episodes is reaching remarkable heights. Earlier this week, we were treated to an ominous teaser poster teasing us that "All bad things much come to an end." And now, showrunner Vince Gilligan has revealed that he cried while writing the series finale.

"I haven't told my crew this. I actually cried writing the end ? 'The end' on the last episode," Gilligan said at a recent panel, according to THR. "I haven?t since then."

While he naturally wouldn't give any details about the show's ending, Gilligan did admit that the show's ending had not been planned from the beginning: ?We sat around in the writer?s room for thousands of man hours playing a game of chess, saying, ?If we move the character from here to here to here, what happens? What?s the counter-move??? Gilligan said. ?Essentially we said, ?What are all the possible endings we can come up with?' And then, ?What is the ending that satisfies us the most???

Millions of viewers are watching with great interest to see just exactly what ending they came up with. Will Walter White be able to reach redemption and escape the horrors he's concocted? Or (and this is the more likely option) will he become his own final victim? There's no telling what's going to happen with the notoriously unpredictable series, but you can bet that I'll be tuning in to find out, even if it makes me cry, too.

Breaking Bad's final eight episodes kick off August 11.

I imagine that it is a sad moment for anyone working on a show for so long, especially if they actually care about the work they do. I can imagine a lot of show creators/writers cry when working on the last episode.
