New video http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=9RZ__mnyx9Y

Think I am going to put the wife in a pleasent mood when I tell her I have pre ordered another game... Wolf always suckers me in.

Ditto, well, not the abomination released in 2009. But the period between W:ET and Halo 2 release is a blur for me

Not letting myself get hyped over this though. Not after the last one (N) Plus Splash Damage isn't involved :(

Edit: trailer was pretty good. Looks like they're borrowing Homefront's story mixing it with Inglourious Basterds humour and old nazi supernatural myths. Not a bad cocktail :D

Loved W:ET. Sometimes still play it now and its good to see it still has a good amount of players on it. Didn't mind the 2009 version, although saying that it took me 3 attempts to complete starting from PC and finally ending it on the PS3.

Those graphics are looking decidedly last gen :/ added to the descriptions making it sound like a pretty generic shooter I may give it a miss until it is in the bargain bin.

They should have used something other than id Tech 5. After Rage, I vowed never to play a game using that engine. It's awful. This game looks kinda interesting too so that's a shame. I imagine it would have looked a lot better with CryEngine.

The only negative that keeps sticking out when I see gameplay is the really low skin textures on  your hands. Really poor quality that just catches the eye.

Agreed but I'd go a step further and say it's all of the textures. It really doesn't look like it's using id Tech 5 to the fullest. A huge gap between it and Rage IMO.

Still, the gameplay looks a lot better than 2009's game (Y) I don't think it'll be a huge hit for FPS, but hopefully breathes some life back into the IP for more installments

I agree, it still looks pretty good but I would have like to have seen some higher textures just to give it a bit more beef around it.

Looks great to play though saying that and really cannot wait to start playing the castle levels again. Seems a lot more like RTCW which is really good. It just had that vibe about it.

this looks fine to me, the shooting in Rage was very good so if this is similar we're in for a nice treat. Pre-ordered on PS4 and looking forward to it, seems like the sense of humor and wackiness are intact. Now to finish Nazi Zombie Army 2 before Wolfie comes out...man I do feel bad for German gamers sometimes

Wolfenstein: The New Order - On a Train to Berlin - Gameplay

Don't know about the music but the rest was fantastic. They captured the insane sadism, masochism, and sexual perversion of the Nazi's and the terror of defying them in a creative and understated way. The photo game was fantastic. Sums up the Nazi regime and why to this day we enjoy fighting them. The textures on the hands didn't looks so bad here. Great trailer, definitely makes me want to buy it. Hopefully the final textures are acceptable.

The style and music from the intro made me think they're going for a Tarantino vibe. I'm not sure it carries over into the game, so far it doesn't seem to.

Loved the coffee physics

Wolfenstein: The New Order - On a Train to Berlin - Gameplay

Wowsers. The last gen graphics put me off a bit at first but I was riveted. They created an atmosphere you could cut with a knife .

If this is indicitave of the rest of the game I am definitely interested.

Minecraft Dungeons gets cross-platform cloud saves, but you have to sync manually
      by João Carrasqueira

Mojang Studios' Minecraft dungeon-crawler spin-off Minecraft Dungeons was launched almost one year ago on all major platforms at the time, but it was oddly missing the ability to carry your save data across different devices if you chose to buy the game on more than one console. Now, the developers have announced that the feature is available as part of today's update for the game, version 1.8.8.0.

Cloud saves will allow players to sync their Heroes to the cloud, which they can then use to play on another console. However, the process isn't as automatic or fluid as some might hope. The game's Hero Select screen will have a new option that allows you to upload a specific Hero to the cloud, as well as download them to your console if you've already uploaded one. You have to do this manually every time you switch platforms, and there's a limit of 20 heroes that can be saved on the cloud at any given time.

Additionally, it's worth noting that DLC purchases don't carry over from platform to platform, so if you have equipped items from a specific DLC pack, they will be removed from your Hero when you load it up on a platform where you haven't bought the DLC. You also can't play on DLC maps unless you buy them on the platform you want to play on.

There have been four DLC packs released since the game's launch, so to be unable to carry over those purchases across platforms is likely going to be a problem for many players, and it takes away a significant portion of the impact of cloud saves. Regardless, if you happen to have bought the game and its DLC packs across more than one platform, this may be good news for you. Earlier this year, Mojang announced that over 10 million people had bought Minecraft Dungeons, so there's a solid fanbase that might have use for the feature.

Aside from that, today's patch includes a number of fixes and tweaks, including multiple crashes that have been addressed and a handful of other issues. The game is also now available in Chinese Traditional and Simplified variants across all platforms.

      by Asher Madan

Every week, Microsoft and select publishers discount a number of titles for a weekly Deals with Gold sale. This week, games like Borderlands 3, Control, and more are available for substantially less. The Spring Add-On Sale is also going on this week. Below, you'll find Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 games with their respective discounts. The deals and games marked with an asterisk are only valid for Xbox Live Gold members, so you'll need an active paid subscription for the additional discount.

Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One
      Xbox 360
Some of the games are also backward compatible so you can play them on your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One. Unfortunately, there isn't much more going on if you still only own an Xbox 360.

Fall Guys Xbox and Switch versions delayed out of summer
      by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe

Mediatonic recently announced that its blockbuster multiplayer platformer Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout would be finally hitting the Xbox and Switch platforms later this year, with the studio aiming for a summer launch. However, today it revealed that the summer launch window will not be met, saying that the "schedule is unfortunately just too soon for us to include all of the tasty new features we're working on.

"While we want to launch on these platforms as quickly as possible, we believe the Switch and Xbox releases are really going to be worth waiting for and we’re super grateful for your patience," added the development team in its blog.

One of the "tasty new features" the developer mentioned today is the long-anticipated cross-play support, letting all players stumble around levels together regardless of what platform they are playing on.

Unfortunately, Mediatonic did not have new launch dates to share for the Xbox One, Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch versions, nor the cross-play support update. Meanwhile, the Fall Guys Season 4.5 update is slated to land in the near future, bringing two new rounds and even more cosmetic content.

Following the recent acquisition, Mediatonic is now owned by Epic Games. The studio has said there are no plans in motion to remove the title from Steam.

Windows 10 is now on over 1.3 billion active devices
      by João Carrasqueira

During its earnings call today, Microsoft revealed that there are now over 1.3 billion monthly active devices running Windows 10 (via ZDNet). The new milestone comes just over a year after Microsoft announced that it had finally hit its goal of having one billion devices running Windows 10.

That fast growth can be attributed in no small part to the increased demand for PCs in light of the COVID-19 pandemic that struck the world in the past year. In its earnings report for the past quarter, Microsoft reported a 10% increase in Windows OEM revenue, meaning its partners have been selling more PCs. Similarly, Surface revenue was up 12% according to the company's report.

Another potential driving factor in Windows 10 adoption is the fact that Windows 7 is no longer supported outside of enterprise customers paying for extended security updates, which aren't cheap. In order to stay secure, more and more companies had to upgrade to the newer version of the OS.

While growth has been pretty healthy for Microsoft's OS in the past year, Windows 10 adoption was actually a lot slower than the company had hoped for when it initially introduced the operating system. In 2015, Microsoft said it hoped to reach one billion active devices within the next three years, which would have been in the summer of 2018. In fairness, at the time, the announcement included all kinds of devices that Microsoft wanted to offer Windows 10 on, including phones, an effort that fell by the wayside after a couple of years.

It's a day of milestones for Microsoft products, as you'd expect from an earnings day. The company has also revealed that its Teams communication service now has over 145 million daily active users, and Office 365 has 300 million paid seats, with 50 million users subscribed to Microsoft 365 for consumers.
