Last year, it was announced that FX's comedy series 'Louie' would be taking an extended hiatus between seasons three and four, so showrunner Louis C.K. could spend some time on his stand-up. Now that we've seen 'Oh My God' -- that stand-up special aired on HBO in March -- C.K. has gotten back to work on the series.

Things are on track for a spring 2014 premiere for 'Louie' season 4, it's being reported -- filming is reportedly slated to begin in the fall.

"We've heard that he's written all the scripts." FX Networks president of original programming Eric Schrier told Zap2it.

"Sometimes he'll call us and ask us questions, but I talked to Blair Breard, who produces it -- I was talking to her about something else, but she's gearing up. They're going to shoot all fall."

This is exciting news! 'Louie' is perhaps the most stunningly creative series on television, and its recent third season was its best yet, particularly the two-part episode "Daddy's Girlfriend" and the three-parter "Late Show" (which featured Twin Peaks creator David Lynch). I can't wait to see what brilliant plans C.K. has in store for the show's fourth season.

Louie will return to FX in 2014.
