The other day we heard that Paramount Pictures is now back in the Jason Voorhees business, taking the rights to ?Friday the 13th? back from Warner Bros. and preparing a sequel to the 2009 remake. Today, we learn that the producers of that remake, Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes production company, are back in the saddle as well.

The word comes from Bloody Disgusting, which spoke to actor/stuntman Derek Mears ? the man who wore the hockey mask in the last ?Friday the 13th? ? and got the scoop straight from his (mask-less) mouth that Bay and his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form will once again be in charge.

I spoke to Brad Fuller and he said that the rights are, as everyone knows, over at Paramount and they?re pushing hard. They?re going to want [a new Friday The 13th movie] as fast as possible?

As for whether he?ll return, Mears says, ?I know they [Platinum Dunes] like me?look, even if I?m not a part of the series, as a fan I just want to see more.?
