DMLB200
Please can anybody help before they take me away to the Funny Farm. The problem I'm having is the blue screen coming up saying HARDWARE MALFUNCTION. I've stripped the computer down to the bare minimum, leaving only a Milleniun G400 card (updated) and a IBM 32gb hard drive with a CDrom drive and the Motherboard is a Abit BX133 Raid also having updated the Bios. The install was clean having Fdisk's and formated the drive. I also tried it with the Raid switched out, but still up come's the blue screen. I've also tried changing the hard drive for a new one. Does anybody think that it could be a compatibility problem with the BX133 Raid Board. Would appreciate any help. Many Thank's Dan.
DjmUK
I'm not too sure - but what I can guess is, that as far as I know: - With a RAID motherboard - you are required to have at least 3 Hard Drives to get it working, I'm not too sure if turning off RAID will have an effect as I've never used them. - Most likely, when you boot from the WinXP CD-ROM at the bottom of the screen you see an area where it tells you what it's doing, and if memory serves: during the setup it says something like "Press F6 To install a third party SCSI or RAID driver". Could these be any problems..? (I'm not too sure - but it's my first guess). Hope this helps :rambo:
