Acting vet Sam Elliott has signed on to guest star in an episode of the NBC comedy as Ron Swanson?s aggressively mustached counterpart/doppelganger in neighboring Eagleton, TVLine has learned exclusively.

 

Elliott will appear in the same episode that features Kristen Bell as Leslie?s ?richer and better dressed? Eagleton equivalent.

Pawnee, Indiana will have two fewer residents next season on Parks and Recreation.  Buzzfeed reports that Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe are leaving the series.  Their characters, Ann Perkins and Chris Traeger, respectively, will depart in the 13th episode of the sixth season, which will probably be sometime during February sweeps.  NBC has no comment on the departure of the two actors.

To be fair, they're the two weakest characters in the show so it's not that great a loss.  I can't wait for this to start again.

I agree. Throughout the series i've always thought that is she left, i don't think it would matter. Although they would need someone to replace her with though. Chris Traeger was good at first but last season. It seemed like they had nothing for him but kept him on just incase.

Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany is to appear on Parks and Recreation.

Maslany will play a love interest for Tom (Aziz Ansari) in two episodes of the NBC comedy's sixth season, says The Hollywood Reporter.

More details about her character are yet to be revealed, though she will appear in the fifth and sixth episodes of the season.

Maslany shot to fame for her critically-acclaimed lead performance in BBC America's Orphan Black - which has been renewed for a second season and will air on BBC Three in the UK.

The 27-year-old actress also appeared in 2007 zombie horror Diary of the Dead and in Canadian comedy-drama Being Erica.
