xfodder
ive had an xbox for almost 2 years now and with "live" being realesed recently here in australia and with counter strike soon to be realesed as well, i was wondering how many people are using xbox live, and is it fairly easy to connect to a game with plenty of people playing ? should i take the 99.95 dollar plunge into 'the future of multiplayer gaming' ? or stick to using my xbox for dvd's :D
AmpCoder
I have had live for over a year and it is very easy to connnect to games, I play 16 player matches all the time in RS3. I would recommend you get it, Xbox was made for online gaming, not just for DVD playing.
Briandl79
I couldn't agree more. I've also been hooked on Rainbow Siz 3 for the past couple of weeks and I've also played Return To Castle Wolfenstein for quite some time, and with Counter Strike coming out that's just another game I'm going to have to go out and buy. Then you have a bunch of other great Live games like Crimson Skies, Project Gotham Racing 2, Amped 2, Midnight Club 2, Midtown Madness 3, and of course all of the great XSN Sports games. .....
As I have said in the other xbox live topic here: I would strongly reccommend xbox live. It may initially seem like quite a lot of money just to play online, but you get the headset, a years subscription, a full version of mechassault, voice in all games. Broadband only, so you're much less likely to get lag. A single name (make sure it's a good one, as you can't change it) for all games. Official downloadable levels, cars, tracks etc... for most online games. Scoreboards, a constantly updated service, the ability to check your friends list via a web browser, live aware games - so you can invite your friends, even if they're playing a single player game. You will eventually be able to check your friends list/send invites to mobile devices, or via msn messenger. No charges for any games, apart from MMORPGs, and there is a possibility of "premium" content, such as packs of karaoke tunes for the xbox music mixer. The ability to recieve invites/send invites to any online game (or live aware one) no matter who makes/publishes it.
