Fast-food chain launches Homer Simpson-themed 'Donut Burgers'

Recommended Posts

European fast food chain Quick is unleashing a Homer Simposon-themed menu this summer and it is epic.

There's a doughnut cheeseburger, cheesy doughnuts, plus a selection of sweet doughnuts which also come in a convenient "mini" form. Much of the menu comes served in bright yellow Homer-stamped packaging. Customers indulging in "Homer Mania" also get to take home one of five novelty Homer glasses.

While doughnut burgers certainly aren't new (just ask Paula Deen), Quick's broken with tradition by not using an acutal doughnut. Instead the bread is shaped like a doughnut, and the result is a bagel-y looking non-doughnut bun. Their Homer burger comes topped with "sweet mustard sauce," lettuce, and cheese.

The sweet doughnuts come in strawberry, chocolate, and caramel flavor. The mini doughnuts come in orders of three, and seem to be plain, marble glazed, and chocolate.

The cheesy donuts are "small mouthfuls" of a cheddar dough that's been stuffed with cheddar fondue. They come in servings of three or in servings of eight, which Quick intends for people to share.
