Is a capactive keyboard any good?

I found this KB101 by Keytronic sitting in a storage shed and I pressed a few buttons and the sound of the keyboard sounds like one of those mechanical keyboard. I looked up this keyboard and according to the manual, this keyboard has solid-state capactive switches. I'm not sure if this keyboard is as good as a mechanical keyboard. Below is what the keyboard looks like. I know it uses a serial connector but i have the adapter to use it as a ps/2 connector
