eth3l
better yet does anyone know which files to move to get all my old registry settings back, **excluding** which drivers to load at startup?
JustinLerner
The only way to properly do this is BEFORE you reinstall. BEFORE you reinstall, BACKUP your %userprofile% directories. After you install/reinstall, RESTORE your previous %userprofile% backup. Pretty easy, but unfortunately in your case, may be too late.
Avian
you could have used the files and settings transfer wizard.
craybox
avian is right, you just need to use the File & settings transfer wizard it does all that for you, and works !
