GameCube FF title!

This looks like it will be soo good. I can not wait, or maybe it is out. Here is a snip-it from the Square/eunix website.

The story in Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles revolves around a world in which a poisonous gas has slowly taken a deadly stronghold over villages and cities. Over time, the mist has overrun the planet forcing the inhabitants to find ways to survive. Thankfully, they have discovered that special crystals could be used to drive away the effects of the gas, but the discovery came with a twist - the crystals' power are not eternal. They must be recharged using mana water, found in (of course) the most dangerous places on the planet. Our heroes venture out on their quest in ?crystal caravans?, knowing that the lives of their villages rely on their valiant efforts to attain the mana.

ff9 had vivi that black mage and that knight guy right?! and the machines worked on the mist thats how they were made...then that guy who looked liek a girl on that dragon etc

Actually there was mist/fog in FFIX... it covered the whole planet ecxept the very tops of mountains for most of the game. :) It wasn't evil really... well... not too evil. ;)

@SimplyPotatoes - Yes you got it right, the robots/puppets/whatever, we created from the mist. :)

All that mist junk came from that "Lifa" Tree right? It's purpose was to subvert the "material" world so the other world (the red one) could "assimilate" it sort of... Its been a while since I played but I think that is the gist of it.

woot! i knew i wasnt crazy!!! :D ya ff9 i thought had the worst gameplay in the series, it was still fun, just the least fun :/

I personally liked IX because it was a change from the highly "Techy" worlds of VII, and VIII. I've heard a lot about CC, and it sounds awesome (though it requires you have friends that have Gameboy Advance. Otherwise you can't play). On a side note, does anyone think the screenshots from FF XII look like a cross between FFIX and FFX? That's what it resembles to me, anyways.

the gba requirement for multiplayer is absolutely retarded.  i know about the menus showing on each screen separately but i don't care.

Yeah really they should have at least made an option to see that stuff on screen if there were no GBAs connected.

its a little more realistic to think that a person who owns a gamecube might own 1 GBA rather than 4 right? I mean, I have both... so I think they should've made an option to play 2 player with 1 GBA and 1 controller at least. stupid stupid stupid they better not market the game as a strong multiplayer game because the majority of people are going to be forced to play the game single player due to the sheer stupidity of the unrealistic multiplayer requirement

And watch it sell poorly and then Square/Enix will blame it on the GC itself and not on their ****ty game design and then will be back to not making games for Nintendo systems.

Dammit, I don't even have a GBA. How strong exactly is the single player experience in the game as I heard it's primarily a mulitplayer game.

And no way I'm buying 4 GBA's for that...

i thought that exact same thing .. you know that'll be their excuse too. it's almost too predictable
