NFS UG ships !

Recommended Posts

:) I am excited to hear that this is shipping, saw it on my morning run through press releases... the demo was impressive and hopefully the full game has more for me to be more impressed. :)

The demo was really good, especially compared to NFS HP2. Although, it will get a lot better once people start making their own cars for it and you can race a Viper/M3/Ferrari against all the tuner cars.

Tried the demo... The graphic level dropped AGAIN from PU! So pi**ed off about it.

Porsche Unleashed is still the best visual title of the whole series, and runs great on anything post GeForce I with a moderate level of detail on.

...And who in their right mind would rather drive a 'suped' up civic or prelude than a REAL sports car like a Ferrari or Lambo in a cg race game anyways. ooooo! I got NOS in it baby, and a low ride kit with ground effects! :p Ya... and I got $250,000 and 500 horses of Italian muscle.

Pleeeease EA, put out another NFS title that is WORTH buying, not IRC'ing.

OMFG! What are you yabbing about?! This game is about Street Race! Have you seen any Ferrari on street races?

If you don't understand concept of Street Racing then STFU!

Sry about the spelling errors...

I understand the "concept" of street racing perfectly... It's illegal.

I didn't say that I hated the game, just that I would much rather drive exotics than civics, and that the graphics should be way better than they are.

you just don't get it

my buddy does have a ferrari 360 modena and yes i have been with him when he raced it and guess what

a stripped down 2000 sir civic with a prelude engine and turbo beat him so its not all about the italian muscle when a 2.0L honda can beat you... this game is for entertainment and nothng more

Cool. Oddly someone I know has mentioned they worked on a couple of the cars in the game. He reckons its fairly good, and the cars do have a lot of accessories designed in, but that another game he worked on - Project Gotham 2 is a lot better. But then I haven't got an Xbox, this is of no importance to me. So unless they release a PC version NFUG will do just fine. Beep Beep outamyway :p

Just curious... which would you rather have?

and again... I didn't say that the game play was bad or anything, just that street racing ain't my thing for cg racers, and that the graphics are lax.

How ironic, street racing is illegal? So isn't getting a game off of IRC, which you mentioned in a post earlier...lol

This game is for fans of 2 Fast 2 Furious... if that scene doesn't interest you, too bad. For those who enjoyed the movie and want to experience the same sort of thrills but without the money and risk involved in real life, this game should be a lot of fun. It's designed for online play, so you soup-up your ride, using real parts, give it a cool paint job, and then join other racers online to drag or do laps around the block. The graphics seem don't seem less than NFS:PU.. maybe your graphics card is old and doesn't support shaders and such?

srry... I actually own all the NFS titles back to the original, and will buy this one if for nothing else than to get my hopes up for the next one. I've never IRC'ed anything... 56k'er at home, and behind a hard ass firewall at work. Just saying that it probably isn't worth the 50 or 60 something canadian they'll get us for in Canada.

Edit: My sig is old... I got a fx5600 ultra reciently.. and yes.. I still think the graphics should be signifigantly better after 3 or 4 years since PU

Yeah.. have to admit, on a good DX9 card this game looks smooth :)

Even for my crappy Radeon 9600 Pro EZ it looked and ran well :)

Ships in the UK on Friday.. might be tempted to pick this one up :D
