AT&T to introduce 300MB and 2GB Mobile Share plans on July 26th

AT&T's Mobile Share plans have sometimes been too expensive for customers who only need a little data. The carrier will soon be more accommodating, however: it's adding both 300MB and 2GB tiers on July 26th. The $20, 300MB pack costs half as much as the 1GB plan, and is intended mostly for basic phone users. We've reached out for more details on 2GB pricing, but it's not hard to see this new tier slotting neatly between the 1GB and 4GB offerings. Both new plans should represent better bargains for frugal customers, although they won't do much for bandwidth lovers -- Lumia 1020 customers will likely want some extra headroom.

It still seems mighty high to me.

I agree.. AT&T is one of the most greedy companies out there. T-Mobile keeps showing them up in terms of business models. I tried to switch to T-Mobile after AT&T ****ed me off, thankfully, I didn't cancel my AT&T contract and just tested the waters with T-Mobile by just getting a SIM card and using it in my phone.. unfortunately, they really need to invest into their network.. I had really crappy service after the last big town and have zero service at my home where AT&T gives me near full LTE.

Another reason I can't leave AT&T, :)

It is nice to see AT&T offer more plans though and hopefully someone will get something out of it.

300MB? Why even bother with a data connection at all?  :s

If you needed to get just email pushed to your phone and minimum facebook and nothing else. I agree it isn't a lot, but someone that is not tech savy that just uses the bare minimum, it wouldn't be too bad..

Also, it is easy for them to go over their data and collect fees..
