Rappy Veteran Posted July 24, 2013 Veteran Share Posted July 24, 2013 Rocky spinoff Creed is going ahead, with Michael B Jordan tapped to star, it has been reported. The Fruitvale Station actor is being lined up to play the grandson of Rocky Balboa rival Apollo Creed in the movie, according to Deadline, while Sylvester Stallone is returning as Rocky Balboa, now a retired fighter turned trainer. Ryan Coogler, director of the critically acclaimed Fruitvale Station, is to write and direct the feature. Coogler's story will centre on Creed's grandson, a well-off young man who takes up boxing when he realises he has a natural talent. He later seeks the mentorship of his grandfather's famous conqueror Rocky Balboa. Stallone recently revealed that a Rocky musical is set to debut on Broadway in 2014. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/movies/news/a501047/rocky-spinoff-creed-stallone-attached-michael-b-jordan-in-talks.html
