Highly unlikely

Really?  I'd have assumed, seeing as people want to keep pushing digital distribution that it would be highly likely.

Can you elaborate?

Dunno to be honest. MS promised this would be the case for the X1 but it was never promised for the X360, and I've never really seen it happen much (if at all). Maybe they will maybe they won't. Luck of the draw really I guess

Because they don't do that for brand new releases on the Xbox 360.

Ummm... yes they do. I got Far Cry 3 on release day as a DD.

To the OP, no idea mate, we might, we might not.

I can't see GTAV being a downloadable title, its just way to big of a game.  Even on fiberoptic it would take forever to download.

Yup I take that back. It seems they've starting doing that a lot more recently.

Errr no. Millions of people download 20+ gigabyte games daily.

The reason would be that the publisher doesn't want todo it yet for some reason. Which very very few do on current gen consoles.

I consider myself corrected lol.

I think the publisher just wants to see how well the game will sell on physcial media first, or maybe they want to preserve some trade-in value.

BTW I love fiber optic :) managed to have a 4.5GB game downloaded in 5 mins on steam
