V-Tech
Nokia?s flagship Lumia 1020 has been on the market for just two weeks and the phone?s price has already been slashed by leading smartphone retailer Amazon. The new 41-megapixel Lumia 1020 launched on July 26th and while we found it to be the most impressive Windows Phone to date when we reviewed the Lumia 1020 last month, the phone?s $300 price tag was troubling. This past weekend, just two weeks after the phone debuted, the Lumia 1020?s price was cut by Amazon from $299.99 to $249.99 on contract. The Lumia 1020 features a 4.5-inch AMOLED display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 32GB of storage, 2GB of RAM and Nokia?s 41-megapixel PureView camera. At the time of this writing, the handset was ranked at No.13 on the list of Amazon?s best-selling contract phones, behind older devices like the Samsung Galaxy SIII, the Galaxy Note II and Nokia?s own Lumia 928. http://bgr.com/2013/08/12/nokia-lumia-1020-price-cut/
tsupersonic
I hate how cell phones are becoming more expensive on contract. I wish they would stay at the $199 price point (for high end smartphones). The carriers are going to rape us with their charges anyways...
BajiRav
1. This is normal (for Amazon) 2. The phone was too expensive to begin with.
Arkos Reed
If only it was a bit less expensive out of contract... oh hell, I'll have my work buy one for me xD
Growled Member Posted August 13, 2013 Member Share Posted August 13, 2013 Most of the time when prices are slashed this quickly, that means sales are bad.
