123456789A
So 40% of people don't know how to use Bing or another search engine.
Pupik
Very misleading. It should read "Sites that used GoSquared analytics suffered a 40% hit." How many of the top websites in the world use GoSquared?Check the list of top 100: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_most_popular_websitesTwitter, LinkedIn, Amazon, Blogspot, Ebay, Bing, tumblr. Companies this size do not use a new analytic startup run by 5 people and a dog. Were these sites affected by google.com being down? Sure. People who open up google.com and type in "Amazon" had to wait a few minutes to buy chips. But anyone who goes to amazon.com or opens a bookmark would not see a difference. http://www.reddit.com/r/technology/comments/1kixms/google_goes_dark_for_2_minutes_kills_40_of_worlds/cbpfulb
Anibal P
So 40% of people don't know how to use Bing or another search engine. Just shows that 60% of people rather use a subpar search engine instead of the best alternative there is available

ichi
So 40% of people don't know how to use Bing or another search engine. How do you expect them to use Bing if they can't Google it. LaP 1 Share
Roger H. Veteran Posted August 18, 2013 Veteran Share Posted August 18, 2013 I've set so many home pages to Google.com I figured that's partially why. The go browse and nothing comes up. Also I notice people putting addresses (such as "Live.com" into Google search. Hell my own mom "Google's" google.com. LOL. I generally don't visit google much but still I figured this is how many people browse the web, they search for whatever they are looking for even if they know the direct location as to where it is. If google isn't working then yeah, traffic drops like crazy.
firey
Just shows that 60% of people rather use a subpar search engine instead of the best alternative there is available Based on personal experience.. Google is by far the best search engine. I can google something and I will find it. Bing.. no so much. Growled 1 Share
