Pupik
Only watched one Star Wars movie in my entire life and it was long ago, so can't really remember much from it (only remember that there was a cool chasing scene on flying motorcycles in the woods there). To fix that, this weekend decided to watch them all with a few friends. Problem is, I have no idea in what order to watch them all to not get confused by the details and guess who/what they're talking about in the story. So need a little help in the order, for best results. Or going by the release dates is enough?

Pupik
Three answers and all of them are different. Guess I'm going by the one with the most likes (first movie first, followed by second and then third).
Buttus
Episode 4 Episode 5 Episode 6 Stop there. i was going to post this exact same thing
articuno1au
Yeah, I think if you've never seen them before you are best off going 1->6. 4,5,6 are completely different films. So it'll be interesting to see what you think of them all. I think most people dislike 1->3 because they are nothing like 4->6.
Gladiatorus
It depends on what you want. Star Wars is a backwards told story. If you want the vintage experience (and if you care about movie chronological technology) watch 4, 5 and 6. If after that (and in the opinion of many of us) you want to ruin the experience, watch 1, 2 and 3. If you want to watch the story in order then watch 1 - 6. Just try to avoid the re-edited versions of 4 - 6.
Orange
I've seen them on tv/dvd then just few months ago i brought the special blu ray box set, so i watched them in the right order, 4,5,6,1,2,
HawkMan
I would watch them 1-6.This.Anyone who says to ignore 1-3 you can safely ignore for a variety of reasons. 1-6 to follow the story. By this time everyone knows who vader and palpatine is anyway.

HawkMan
The Machete OrderI'm definitely doing this when I next watch them. That made no sense at all. It's one of those made up film critics are better than other people because they like special stuff kind of orders.
seta-san
1-3 are garbage. i'd watch 4-6... and then watch the reviews of 1-3 on http://www.youtube.com/user/RedLetterMedia to watch a guy tear them to pieces. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxKtZmQgxrI
