V-Tech
It looks as though Google may be pushing its Glass headset out to traditional retail outlets. Rackspace startup liaison officer and noted Glass enthusiast Robert Scoble wrote on his Google+ account this week that he?s been hearing rumors that ?Google is renting 6,000 square feet inside every Best Buy next year? so it can showcase and sell Google Glass to consumers. Having dedicated spaces within Best Buy stores has become very common lately as Apple, Samsung and Microsoft all have their own ?stores-within-stores? at several Best Buy locations. Given where Scoble is best-known for showing off his Google Glass headset, however, a better fit for the device might be Bed, Bath & Beyond. http://bgr.com/2013/08/22/best-buy-google-glass/

Growled Member Posted August 24, 2013 Member Share Posted August 24, 2013 Unlike you guys I think they are gonna be a huge hit.I wouldn't mind trying them but I'm not going to pay the current price of $1500.
firey
I'm with growled on this. I won't buy it at its current price. However I personally would buy a pair if the price became reasonable.

Digit12345
I like Google and all but honestly, I foresee a massive flop incoming. Google's not exactly a fashion trend setter. If the price is really around $1500, it really begs the question of who the market audience is. As cool a concept as Glass is, its practicality for daily use is limited and pigeonholed into gimmicky ways of doing what is already possible (as much a marketing gimmick as Siri). It's not really solving any real world problems, or at least in any meaningful ways.
MikeChipshop Member Posted August 24, 2013 Member Share Posted August 24, 2013 I like the idea of Google Glass, i just don;t like the idea of having to wear some odd glasses. Bring it to contacts i say! :D
shinji257
Didn't they say it doesn't work if you wear glasses? Balls to that. As of right now yes but they also stated that they would have a version out at retail launch that worked with glasses as well.
spenser.d
I'm surprised nobody is in here about the NSA yet... :P I'm with Mike though. I think this will flop, but once they can throw it all in a contact lens I'm sold.
