Sylvester Stallone turns to Kickstarter to fund 'Reach Me' movie

Sylvester Stallone's latest movie has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money.

The movie, called Reach Me, will star Stallone as a retired sports coach who publishes a self-help book.

Stallone is seeking $250,000 from fans on the crowdfunding website, after a major investor backed out of the project.

Director John Herzfield made an appeal to fans on the film's Kickstarter page, which also includes a video from Stallone to possible donors.

In the video, Stallone says: "Coming to Kickstarter for John is a great move because he is a filmmaker for the people, by the people, and he makes films that are really enjoyable and understandable, about everyday situations that you can identify with?

"Reach Me is an incredible film, I'm telling you - it is something that is remarkable and it just needs a little finishing touch, and you guys can provide that."

Edit : Its not Stallones movie, its by someone called John Herzfeld

Stallone is just gonna be in it.

But yeah if Stallone really believed in the movie I don't see why he could fill the budget gap himself,

From the Kickstarter page:

"Some of you might be wondering, 'Why doesn't he just ask his actors for the rest of the money?' Well they've all worked for next to nothing and they've done enormous favors for me.
