Xbox One Australian and New Zealand pre-orders will also get free FIFA 14 game

by John Callaham

European gamers were happy a few weeks ago when Microsoft announced that pre-orders of the Xbox One would include a free copy of FIFA 14, the hit pro soccer game from Electronic Arts.. Now there's word that Australian and New Zealand gamers will get the same free game offer when they pre-order Microsoft's next generation game console.

Computer and Video Games reports that the Australian offer covers all past and future pre-orders for the Xbox One until the console officially launches. NZGamer reports that the New Zealand free game offer are for people who buy the Day One edition. In Europe, the free FIFA 14 game will only apply if people purchase the Day One launch edition bundle. As we reported earlier, some UK retailers are offering Xbox One buys the option of getting a free copy of Forza Motorsport 5 instead of FIFA 14.

Microsoft plans to launch the Xbox One in 13 markets around the world on November 22nd. So far, there's no word on if Microsoft plans to add in a free digital game to the U.S. bundle or indeed to any of the other markets (Canada, Mexico, and Brazil).
