In a series of emails between Santiago Rodriguez and Lake Mary Police Chief Steve Bracknell, the head of the local police department agreed that Zimmerman is a ?Sandy Hook, Aurora waiting to happen.?

?George is a ticking time bomb its become obvious,? he [Rodriguez] wrote. ?Please for the sake of the community do not give up on this investigation so quickly because sooner or later another mother and father is going to be on CNN lashing out against the system due to this man snapping.?

I up my initial wager from $100... $250 says George Zimmerman will be dead or in prison within 5 years.

You're just joining the lame stream media's persecution of a hero...

Assad was just running his country like any other dictator, and the bad apples in his population put him in a position where his only choice was to gas over a thousand of them in self defense. What would you do if you were a ruthless dictator in a country that's subjugated peoples were trying to oust you through military force? Don't judge until you've actually been in that situation...

/s :)

He is no way like that 20 year old. At least not in my opinion.

Killing someone under dubious circumstances doesn't make you a hero, ever.

Killing someone to save your own life doesn't make you a hero either.

Killing someone to save OTHER people's lives; that might make you a hero, maybe.

You're parsing a sarcastic and satirical comment. I'm not sure where you're coming from. I don't believe that either Assad or Zimmerman are heroes, quite the opposite, which was the point of the comment. They both do have their hero worshipers though.

Heroes are whoever you want them to be. Hitler was a hero, MLK and Ghandi were heroes, Stalin and Mao were heroes, JFK and Reagan were heroes. It just depends on who you ask, and when.

I think you misunderstood - the "hero" part of his comment was a sarcastic reference to Assad, not admiration of Zimmerman.

Without /s tags, how is one meant to tell that, hmm?

Well he had one at the end, maybe that was added after you saw it, though I doubt what he said was meant to be taken seriously anyway.

No one can handle all the stress that he has been under since all of this happened. I'd be very surprised if he didn't snap somewhere along the way.

I was being intentionally ambiguous with that line about the hero... Did I mean Zimmerman, or Assad, or both? It's for you to decide. In any case, it was not a genuine comment, as I thought was clear, but have also since made completely clear.

To spell it out: The post itself was a satire. All of those arguments that I made in favor and in excuse of Assad have been made numerous times (in a slightly different form), but in favor and in excuse of Zimmerman. To many people, those arguments sound absurd when used for Assad, but not Zimmerman. However, for many of us that think that Zimmerman was 100% responsible for Martin's murder, they are just as absurd when used to defend Zimmerman, and for the exact same reasons as they are absurd for Assad.

You gave somewhat of a definition of a hero, and I tried to give a different perspective of what I thought a hero was. Those other guys, Hitler, MLK, Mao, JFK, were my examples of heroes :)

Without /s tags, how is one meant to tell that, hmm?

Instead of including /s after every line, I just included it at the end of the post to attempt to denote that the entire post was /s. Often, I'll just leave a smiley at the end to imply that it shouldn't be taken seriously. Here, I decided that both were warranted in order to try and leave as little equivocation as possible.

Thank you @McKay. I though at one point that I might have to dig through articles and posts and tediously gather examples of the hero worship of Zimmerman. I couldn't have summed it up better with a thousand words.

Although, one small criticism; You should have used half of the American flag with half of the confederate flag, or just all confederate. :)

Who are you referring to when you say "You talk about"?

What's getting stupid is how often this guy is in the news for f**ing up after he was found not guilty for murder. I assume the threads will stop when Zimmerman stops having these brushes with the law. Until then, you're welcome to ignore...

Hey just for the record he never pulled a gun on his family.  His wife lied about that. Everyone gets speeding tickets. If I were him I'd go into hiding for a while until the media finds someone else to harass.

I couldn't agree more, and I don't care if it's Zimmerman, or these cops I see driving like maniacs, or Obama himself.

Too many people are just incompetent when they get behind the wheel, and the faster they go the more incompetent it shows them to be. The ones who think they can drive that fast because they're competent enough to do so are the most incompetent, ignorant, and dangerous of them all

That's two of the four ridiculous arguments that i mocked down. Just the "forced into lethal self defense with no other options", and "what would you do if you'd been following and chasing a man in the rain at night and then he started beating you when you didn't tell him you were Neighborhood Watch or why you'd been chasing him" left to go.

George Zimmerman, who was acquitted in the 2012 shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin, has again sparked outrage after he retweeted a photo of Martin’s body.
The tweet, which can be seen above, has since been deleted by Twitter. It was from a Zimmerman fan, who said, “Z-man is a one man army.” The anger directed toward Zimmerman hasn’t seemed to bother him.
Zimmerman, 31, has not shied away from the spotlight since he was found not guilty of second-degree murder in the Martin case. Last month he teamed up with an anti-Muslim Florida gun shop owner to raise money by painting a Confederate flag.
Zimmerman has also been arrested on domestic violence charges, and was shot during a road rage incident earlier this year.
His tweets from the account @TherealGeorgeZ have caused angry reactions in the past.

      ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
George Zimmerman uses a Confederate flag as his user image (obviously because of his pride in Southern American history) that says "The 2nd protects the 1st" to post images reflecting his opinions on Obama's race baiting (ironic), to call people he obviously believes to be black "apes", to post racist images relating to his killing of Martin that contain "White Lives Matter" as a slogan, and to proclaim that it took a "WHITE" man with balls to try to assassinate him.
He is obviously unashamed and actually proud to have chased down a 17 year old young man through his own neighborhood in the rain and killed him as well.
      Zimmerman tweets today:

"As much as I love owning all you trolls I have to work... On my tan! Tell "Karma" she's worthless, God protects me." https://twitter.com/TherealGeorgeZ/status/648542454413705216

George Zimmerman has been arrested in Florida, NBC News has learned.

A Seminole County Sheriff's Office statement says Zimmerman was arrested Monday afternoon after deputies responded to a disturbance call at a house in Apopka, Fla., about 15 miles northwest of Orlando.

Zimmerman will be transported and booked into jail pending arraignment.

The statement provided few other details, and it was not immediately known what charges he faced.

Monday's arrest was just the latest legal trouble for the former neighborhood watch volunteer, who was acquitted earlier this year of all charges in the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin.
