WTF???? It gives me a "graphic card not supporting pixel shader 1.1 or higher" error!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone know how to fix or bypass??? Unfortunately I have a Nvidia GeFroce 2 MX 400 video card (yea i know, getting better video card this xmas)... I have the latest nvidia drivers and dx9!!!

GRRR  wanted to play this game soooo BAD

thats not an error... youre geforce doesnt support ps 1.1 or higher... it has nothing to do with software... it is your weak ass hardware ;p

The first time I ran it....... nothing happened.

I pressed the windowkey button on my keyboard and saw that a new window called "Message" was open, but the demo window was fullscreen, so it couldn't be seen. I pressed enter and a new window called "VIKTORIA: ERROR" opened, but it, too, couldn't be seen. I pressed enter, again, and a new window called "Save Error Info" appeared, but I couldn't see it, either, so I didn't have a chance to save the error information.

Goodbye, Deus Ex: Invisible War.

yeah its true.. i have been looking forward to this game for ages.. it sounds amazing.. looks good in screens.. but this demo.. kinda... AAAAH.. what did they do? it runs like crap.. and i thought i had a good rig (2.8 Ghz, 1024MB RAM, Geforce 4ti 4600).... they better make some serious improvements..

fs pixel shaders REQUIRED, what a peice of crap, not everyone can afford half decent graphics cards, i hope this game flops big time

well, I don't mind game devs finally implementing pixel shaders as required..I'm tired of playing directx7 games on a 400 dollar card. Half decent graphics cards are like 150bucks..9600pro anyone? you can also get a ti4200 refurbished for 89 bucks on newegg.

besides..considering how this game uses stencil shadows, you would not want to run this thing on any directx 7 card at all anyway. Stencil shadows get done in like 4 passes while a directx 9 card can do so it in one pass so crappy cards would slow it to a crawl. And forget about doom 3..

gameplay sucked though, otherwise, i thought the graphics were ok and it ran fine at 1280 x 1024.

it's the diretx7 class cards that are holding back devs to 4 year old technology and it sucks. It's time for everyone to upgrade to at least a directx 8 capable card. Would you use a cpu from 4 years ago? why would you expect current games to run well on your 4 year old technology cards.

/edit...by the way, the pc I'm on right now is one I built for my parents, it's an 1800 with 1 gig of ram and a geforce 4MX..I don't know how folks play games with these type of cards. I tries playing a demo or two and it was so freakin' horrible at most games above 640x480.. 32bit color even slows it down, and 16bit runs faster but looks like absolute ass. I see a lot of 3.2 ghz pentiums in people's sigs here with these GF4MXs and I don't get it. all that money on cpu power when you can't even utilize a 10th of it in 3d apps. Unless you do video editing or encoding, what a total waste of cash. better to go with a slower cpu and a better 3d card. really a shader capable card is cheap these days.
