Guest Ryan
Okay. Just last nite a friend of mine who is 17 and pregnant had a seizure and my other friends and I had to take her to the hospital. It is not often at all I encounter bad times in my life. But this really had me scared. Seeing her like that was not cool at all. I was hanging out with them all last nite. And when it happened, I was just about to leave their house and go back home. I was over there for quite a long time last time. I was on my way upstairs to say good bye to everyone, people were leaving and falling asleep. Shortly after I'm up their it happens. She begins having trouble breathing and doesn't sound good at all. She is not responding to anyone. So we get her out of the house and into a car and up to the hospital. On the way up there she starts shaking. This whole thing is just not cool. I'm glad we got her there in time. I was worried about her baby. But it's fine. And later that nite she started improving. She came back around and was able to talk to people. And today I found out she's doing even better. Moving around and eating. She might get to come home tomorrow. It's bad enough that I almost lost another friend I really care about, and than this had to happen. :rose:
JrDZ13
I know how it feels. (Well at least my girlfriend does) Listen to how insane this is, all in one day: 1) my girlfriend's father went to the hospital for a minor stroke, 2) her mother was just coming home from her Chemotherapy treatment, 3) Her brother (in college) went to the hospital with a really high fever, 4) I (her boyfriend) passed out in school from god-knows-what, 5) and that night some sick a****** tried to break into their house because they knew that the father wasn't home. Now, 2 months later, everything has worked itself out, so just remember that if someone can recover from a day like that, EVERYTHING can find a way to work out okay. Guest Ryan
Wow man. That's pretty insane. Yea, some of her family had all ready been to another hospital visiting someone else earlier that day. Than they had to go to another one later. Unbelievable. The night was going great too until it happened. Depressing.
LiLViEtDuDe917
Yea, bad things happen, but you don't have to go through it alone. Those who do choose to go through it alone and they end up nowhere. be glad you have your friends because they will help, trust me, if they really are your friends, they'll make a differenc.e
Bizkit
Dude. I feel for you. You have not had good luck with friends lately. I hope that everything is going to be okay, with your friend and her baby.

I hope that everything is going to be okay, with your friend and her baby. She'll be all right, and so is the baby. The first thing they did after we got their was take her into a room to check the baby. Than they moved her later afterwards. They're both okay last I heard. As for my other friend, we'll be fine. We'll work things out soon. I don't want to infect Neowin with too much drama. But thanks for still being concerned.

Guest Ryan
how you taking it? Better than I expected. I guess it's because of like I said, how I'm lucky enough to not witness bad things happen to people. And I don't know her too well either. I'd probably be a mess if we were close, or better friends. Thanks for asking. I'm all right. :)
stncttr908 Veteran Posted November 22, 2003 Veteran Share Posted November 22, 2003 Seizures are indeed very scary to witness. My brother has epilepsy and I can tell you that it's no picnic for him or my family.
Guest Ryan
I don't know if it's common for her or if this was her first one. But I feet a little bit better after I heard that over time if they continue having seizures they will be able to sense them and be able to get away from people and objects so they don't hurt themselves or others. Statikk
Yea I've passed out and gone into seizures more than once and you can defintiely predict when one is coming on. Good to hear your friend and the baby are going to be ok!!
Guest Ryan
Good to hear your friend and the baby are going to be ok!! I really hope so. All I can do is keep them in my prayers (yes I'm religious). Last I heard, she was on an oxygen tank, so I am really concerned and worried. Especially since I haven't known her for too long or very well. But I did work things out with my other friend last nite. Turns out she was never mad at me, something else was bothering her. But we are still friends. :) I really missed her over the past 4 weeks. I'm glad she gave me another chance. :D
Bizkit
See, things work out in the end. That is why I read Harry Potter. I don't know were that came from...

ejk158
There is a saying, i know if well because my brother had cancer when he was youger. "God only gives what you can handle" im sure that your friend and her baby will be ok, and everything will turn out good. whenever somethime bad happens i just think of that saying and remember that there is always someone who has it worse. BxBoy
"God only gives what you can handle" what exactly does this mean?
Guest Ryan
what exactly does this mean? I don't quite know either, but I hope it doesn't turn this into a debate over religion and gets my thread locked.
idkfa
what exactly does this mean? Its just a saying that a religious person most likely made to explain why certain bad things happen to people. Its like the Egyptians had no idea why the sun moved across the sky, so they believed that there was a Sun God who controlled it. This is just my opinion btw Trunten, hope ur friend recovers quickly, all the best
