Why do bad things happen?

"God only gives what you can handle"

Yeah, that's something good to remember because it's true. I'll keep your friend in my prayers Trunten.

This could be true if everyone believed in God.

Wtf are you up to snocked? Get out of my thread and stay out. I don't want it closed because of you turning it into a debate over religion. :hmmm: Go into the Lounge or Real World Issues or Soapbox if you want to do that!

Snocked, I am an Atheist. However one of the main reasons for becoming one was because I was tired of being "preached" to. It appears that you're trying to do the same thing, but in reverse. This is a serious thread and there is no place for you to come barging in with your offensive comments. If you're going to pull garbage like this, at least do it intelligently.

By the way, that joke of a site in your sig gives intelligent Atheists and non-believers everywhere a bad name.

Sorry about that. With that said, glad to hear things are looking better.

I have no fixed theory on this. Science tells me that it is not God who makes things happen, but try as I may, I can never shake the whole God idea.

However, I feel that all things happen to all people. However, "good" people are highleted when "bad" things happen. And "bad" people spend more time making sure "bad" things don't happen to them.

Oh and Snocked: Quit the preching. One thing worse than a preaching religion follower is a preaching atheist. Nothing against atheism, but if you are preaching - you need to look at what you are preaching and assess your values towards other preachers.

Another term worth using is an Ahialist. It is someone who has their own beliefs, they heep them personal to themselves. They don't need a church to practise their beliefs, and they chose not to openly demonstrate them (for many reasons, such as it can cause offence). I am generally an ahialist, with a Christian upbringing.

When is the baby due?

I don't remember the exact date (was sometime during mid-late January), but it's probably going to be due sooner than that now.
