McDonald's 'McEverything': $140

Recommended Posts

Hum    6,929

McDonald's currently offers 43 different types of sandwiches and blogger Nick Chipman has tasted every one of them ? in one humongous creation he calls the McEverything.

Chipman says he's dreamed of ordering this fast food monster since he first launched his blog, DudeFoods, a few years ago, but he was worried about annoying the employees. "I felt like if I went to into McDonald's and ordered every single sandwich, they would hate me," he tells Yahoo Shine.

But sometimes, like Sir Edmund Hillary, Neil Armstrong, or Geronimo, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

On Monday, Chipman gathered his courage ? and his appetite ? and marched into the franchise on the corner of 66th Street and North Avenue in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, to place his megaorder. He strategically arrived at about 10 a.m., just after the morning rush and well before the noon crowd would come pouring in. Not only would the staff be in a lull, but both breakfast and lunch sandwiches would also be available. No wonder the assault took three years to plan.

"I'm happy to report that the entire crew at the McDonald's?was more than accommodating," he writes on his blog. "They even seemed a little excited to see just how tall the McEverything turned out to be." Just how tall? While he anticipated his monster sandwich would measure less than 24 inches, it actually stacked up to be a soaring 4 feet high. And the bill was lofty as well ? his McEverything meal tab came in at $141.33. "Actually, I should correct myself," he writes. "The price of the sandwiches was $140.33?the extra dollar was for the Diet Coke that I added to my order."

During the 20 minutes or so it took for two employees to make all 43 sandwiches, Chipman says, "I poked my head into the back a few times and apologized, but they were awesome." He then got busy himself, unwrapping and skewering together the layers like a giant bun-and-patty kebab. The other customers who were at the location at the time, (people he describes as "mainly senior citizens having coffee") quizzed him on his motivation and "tried to take pictures on their cell phones that they didn't know how to use."

After eating three of the breakfast sandwiches, he disassembled the whole thing and took the rest home.

It took him 3 years to figure out when they stop serving breakfast and when they start serving lunch?

It is below average fast food at a very cheap price.

What is the point of having 'Diet' Coke - an extra 40 or so calories isn't going to make much difference after all that crap.

Some items are seasonal, others are regional, others are a one-time trial thing only.

I like some of the menu in small doses.

I don't get real excited about visiting there anymore.

And they seem to enjoy screwing up your order.

I hate people that do this, like really? DIET COKE? Like DIET makes all the bad things level out. An before someone chimes in about him not being able to handle sugar then their is no way to eat that much bread as it turns to sugar.

Man up and drink the sugar water!

Same here. Our local McDonald's smells like burnt grease all the time and I get nauseated just walking in. Then after they screw up my order and I have to wrangle with them over that, I usually wish I had never gone there and swear I never will again.

^ I ordered a fresh cooked chicken sandwich last night, with only lettuce.

I was given McChicken with mayo only.

I went to sit down and waited until they cooked another.

I made the manager come find me.

Whenever I'm out at eating places I always order diet, not because it's "better" for you, but because I just prefer it as I find regular to taste like fizzy syrup.

As for this, he could of donated the left overs to homeless or something, I bet the fat bastard ate it all.

I don't know why they only sell the McRib like once a year. it really isnt all that great.

It's meh okay.

^ McDonald's buying all that pig meat affects all pork prices.

Also, rotating the specials, helps to keep 'interest' in visiting McDonald's.

Sugar calories are alot diff than normal food calories. Yes, some people even obese people, dislike sugary drinks.

Diet Pop is mostly just flavored water with caffeine and aspartame :p.

Oh I know, just reminds me of those movies where some big guy or gal orders most of the menu and a diet soda so they wont be TOO much of a glutton hehe
