Rappy Veteran Posted September 19, 2013 Veteran Share Posted September 19, 2013 BBC America won't be moving forward with Copper. The period drama, which marked the cable network's first step into original scripted programming has been canceled after two seasons, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The move comes as little surprise, given Copper's rather modest ratings, much of the narrative wrapping up in the Sept. 22 finale and comparatively bigger buzz reserved for network's other original commission, Orphan Black. http://www.spoilertv.com/2013/09/copper-cancelled.html

Rappy Veteran Posted September 21, 2013 Author Veteran Share Posted September 21, 2013 The BBC America series ends Sunday but Copper may get a second life on the big screen. One day after the network announced that the Civil War-era series would be cancelled after two seasons, I?ve learned that co-creator/executive producer Tom Fontana and fellow EPs Barry Levinson and Tom Kelly are considering a movie version. The extensive story arc work Fontana did on a third season has the veteran producer eyeing revamping the material for a movie, sources say, with the potential big-screen version said to look at examining life in America after the death of Abraham Lincoln and the years of Reconstruction. http://www.deadline.com/2013/09/copper-movie-possible-tom-fontana/
