TNT is closing the book on King & Maxwell after one season.

The freshman drama, based on characters from David Baldacci novels and starring Jon Tenney (The Closer) and Rebecca Romijn (Ugly Betty), premiered to 3.5 million total viewers and averaged 3.1 over its run, typically shedding a full third of its Major Crimes lead-in.

The news comes just a day after TNT ordered Stephen Bochco?s Taye Diggs-fronted Murder in the First to series.

King & Maxwell?s season/series finale aired Aug. 12; TVLine?s Cable Renewal Scorecard has thusly been updated. Franklin & Bash now stands as the only TNT drama series in limbo.

Tenney, it was reported by TVLine earlier this week, next can be seen reprising his role as Major Crimes? Fritz Howard in a December episode of the TNT crime drama.

Yea but it was actually watchable unlike Major Crimes crap  :/

Wish they hadn't canceled Leverage though tbh could have still done more if that final season wasn't headed for cancellation.
