neowin_hipster
I was just wondering how many ppl needed to reactive their WinXP because they formated their drive. How easy is it to get it reactivated.

flyers
I've reformatted several times (deciding on a partition scheme) and also added hardware ( RAM, vid card) and I ended up activating beyond my limit. I reactivated by phone with no trouble.
neowin_hipster
Cool. Is there a diff between home and pro???
mtgriffith
I screwed up the Windows XP Pro install on my computer at work. I didn't realize it until after I activated. I restarted the PC and booted from the CD. I blew away the partitions and started over. I didn't have any problem reactivating it.
n3urotic
Home is missing a couple of Pro features but nothing major that will affect you if you are a gamer/office person. Unless you want multi-language support which only Pro has.
