Will old work with new?

Ok, it turns out I have to leave for a week for work.  I have not bought a case for my Nexus 7 2nd gen yet.  So was wondering if a 1st Gen N7 case will work on a 2nd Gen N7.  Not sure if the dimensions are similar as well as button/speaker placement.  Only a few places that sell cases where I live and they all say N7, but doesnt specify which gen.

I don't think they'll fit. The new N7 is about 6mm wider, not to mention the camera which the old N7 doesn't have, and the slightly different port layout.

I just ended up buying a new laptop case with an extra area for a tablet.  When I get back from my trip, I will order a proper case for the N7.
